Insitu Application

The InSitu Porator™ is a powerful and novel tool for the examination of Intercellular Gap Junction and Signal Transduction studies performed on cells grown In Situ and adherently prior to the electroporation.

Following the pulse application the transient molecule i.e. Lucifer Yellow is introduced into the cell via transient pores, where its migration into adjacent non-electroporated cells can be monitored under a microscope using fluorescent illumination. The transfer distance can be precisely quantitated within a large number of cells without any detectable disturbance to the cellular metabolism.
